Rose in Thorns

Rose in Thorns is the creative boutique of Rose Wells. Currently specialising in candles, I always have ideas of other products to add to the range, but never seem to manage find the time to do anything about it! I have taken a break over the last few months after the birth of my son, and Vintage Encraftment will be my first day back at work again.

Where did you come up with the name? It was originally 'Rose among Thorns', and a couple of years ago I changed it to 'Rose in Thorns'. It's based on the saying and my name, because originally a lot of my work was recycled, and it worked in nicely with that.

What are five words that describe your work? Gorgeous divinely scented soy candles

What was your favourite toy as a child? And now? I had a lot of dolls and soft toys which I spent hours playing with. Now it would be anything cute I think my wee bub would enjoy playing with!

What is making you happy right now? The nice warm sunshine, and smiles from my baby.

What did you dream about last night? That I did a market and didn't sell anything. I hope that's not an omen!

What is something that can always make you feel better? A good nights sleep often works wonders! Uplifting music and sunshine always help too.

Were you popular in High School? No, knitting wasn't cool back then!

What do you hope to be remembered for? I can't say I've given this a lot of thought! For being creative, and thoughtful towards the environment, perhaps?
